Bus and semi truck accident in Waterloo, New York | Toledo, Ohio Bus Accident Attorney

Boyk Law Offices would like to inform you of an accident that happened early Friday morning around 1:30 a.m. New York state police say a bus carrying around 50 passengers was pulling back onto the New York state thruway when it was struck in the rear by a tractor-trailer, killing the truck driver and injuring about 30 people in a fiery crash.

  The driver of the semi truck, 59-year-old Timothy Hume of Dryden, Michigan, was killed. Some injuries to the people inside the bus were minor, though two people were taken to the hospital by helicopter with serious injuries.   The bus, which was eastbound, had stopped on the shoulder of Interstate 90 for an unknown reason. It was not clear if the bus was in the right lane or on the shoulder when it was struck, but it probably was not up to speed.     Both vehicles caught fire after the crash. Video taken after the crash shows the charred, skeletal remains of the bus, which had been painted white with what appears to be a red horse logo. Bare wheel hubs gleam in the early light, the rubber tires burned off.
