Heavy Rain Causes I-280 Car Accidents; 1 Hurt | Toledo, Ohio car accident lawyers

One person was injured yesterday after two cars drove off I-280 in succession during heavy rain.

The first person, John Michalak, was in the left-hand lane when high water on the road forced his pickup truck off the right side of the road. He hit a guardrail and landed in a grassy ditch.

Shortly after, Nicole Cousino was also driving in the left lane, hit the water on the road and went off the right side into the ditch. She had to be extracted from her car by rescue workers.

Michalak was unhurt in the accident. A medical helicopter was summoned for Cousino, but could not take off due to the weather. She was instead taken to the hospital by ambulance.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts.
