Mother Nature played a factor several crashes | Toledo, Ohio Car Accident Lawyer

The Norwalk Police Department attributed ice or snow to two crashes while the state Highway Patrol handled at least four accidents when it was snowing. The Huron County Sheriff's Office received two separate calls within about 30 minutes of each other about vehicles in ditches.

Here are some of the accidents that the Norwalk Police Department and Ohio State Patrol responded to:

·         Non-injury crash involving two vehicles on U.S. 20.

·         A driver went into a Greenfield Township ditch on Egypt Road east of Baxter Road.

·         There was a four-vehicle accident on Whittlesey Road near the Schaffer Road curve just after 2 p.m. "Four vehicles (were) involved, with the main damage being to the two initial vehicles that hit head-on. With the aid from the Milan Township Fire Department, several patients were removed and packaged for transport," Lt. Rick Perry wrote in his report. The crash, which involved minor injuries, closed that portion of Whittlesey Road for 1 1/2 to two hours.

·         Firefighters responded to a vehicle that slid off the road at 5110 Ohio 601.

·         There were several calls to the EMS about vehicles that were in ditches all around Norwalk.

·         Jennifer A. Bosely, was charged with failure to maintain assured clear distance in the two-vehicle collision at the intersection of East Main Street and Milan Avenue. Bosely's vehicle slid on the snowy road and hit the rear of the sport utility vehicle driven by Jesus Cuevas.

·         About 1 1/2 hours earlier, there was a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Whittlesey Avenue and Westwind Drive. While making a right turn off Whittlesey Avenue, the 2001 Ford Focus driven by Kyle D. Muniz, slid on the ice. His car then hit the left side of the 1990 Ford Probe driven by Brian A. Youngless, who was stopped at the Westwind Drive stop light, police said. Muniz was charged with failure to control.
