One person taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center following accident Sunday August 29, 2010 | Toledo, Ohio Car Accident Lawyers

Even when you are a safe, defensive driver, other drivers can cause auto accidents and cause you injury. One person was seriously injured and two others suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident Sunday evening at the intersection of Ohio 330 and Ohio 568.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol reported that 2007 Hyundai Sonata driven by Jason Milholland, was northbound on Ohio 330 at 7:40 p.m. when he failed to yield at the Ohio 568 intersection to a 2010 Lincoln Navigator driven by George Shaffner.

The Shaffner vehicle was westbound on Ohio 568 at the time of the accident. After impact, both vehicles traveled off the roadway.

The patrol reported that a passenger in the Milholland vehicle was taken by Life Flight helicopter to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo.

Two children in that vehicle were treated for minor injuries at Blanchard Valley Hospital, according to the patrol. The names of the injured were not available Sunday night.
