The man indicted for allegedly driving drunk and killing a mother and her young son earlier this year has pleaded not guilty in court. Gerald Wetherbee Jr., 35, is charged with aggravated vehicular homicide, DUI, driving under suspension and more for the June 11 accident in the Village of Grafton. Authorities said Wetherbee went left of center while traveling on state Route 83 and struck the Tomasheski family of four head-on. Tammy Tomasheski, 36, died shortly after the accident at a nearby hospital. Her 11-year-old son, Tommy, was pronounced dead at the scene. Tom Tomasheski, a Lorain County Sheriff's Deputy, and his daughter, Danielle, are recovering from the accident. Troopers said Wetherbee's blood alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit that night. Wetherbee remains jailed. He is scheduled for a pre-trial on Friday morning.
