A high-speed police chase ended in a three-car crash in downtown Toledo early Monday. Police say just before 2 a.m. they tried to pull over a driver when they spotted him driving recklessly. The driver then led cops on a high-speed chase through north Toledo, even driving the wrong way on Erie Street. The chase then ended abruptly when the driver smashed into two other cars at the intersection of Cherry and Erie Streets. At least one person from the other vehicles was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries. Debris from the collision was scattered the length of a city block. Even a parking meter was knocked off its post. The driver was then arrested.
