Toyota Motor Coroporation has agreed to pay $10 million to settle legal claims from the family of a California stat trooper and three relatives whose fatal crash helped spur a wide-ranging safety recall.
The lawsuit, filed in March 2010 in San Diego Superior Court, was part of a wave of product-liability and wrongful-death actions brought against Toyota and subsidiaries over complaints of sudden, unintended acceleration.
