Winter storm: At least one fatality tied to weather | Toledo, Ohio Car Accident Attorney
The recent storm that came thru Ohio has caused several accidents, and contributed to the death of a 79-year-old Millersport woman who lost control of her car on a snow-covered Ohio 37 and crashed into another car.Central Ohio drivers were being warned that more snow was on its way and wind gusts of up to 40 mph were possible.
Phyllis A. Phillips was southbound on Rt. 37, north of Rt. 40, when she went left of center and struck a northbound car driven by David L. McBride. Phillips' car continued off the east side of the road and struck a ditch.
She was taken to Licking Memorial Hospital and later transferred to Ohio State University Medical Center, where she died.
McBride was not hurt but his son Jared McBride, of Hebron was transported by the Millersport Fire Department to Nationwide Children's Hospital, where he was in fair condition.
