Mr Joseph's Dodge Dakota crashed head-on into an eastbound semi. Joseph was pronounced dead at the scene. The semi driver, 43-year-old Nickolas Horvath, and the driver of the Focus, 67-year-old Helen Missildine, were both taken to Wood County Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Investigators do not know why the driver did not see the semi. They are continuing to look into possible causes of the crash.

Coyle's Ford Explorer hit Timothy Lane's Audi A4. Mr. Lane was flown from the scene of the crash to an area hospital where he later died.
In exchange for Coyle's pleas, the prosecutors have recommended that Coyle serve 180 days in jail with a work release and 5 years probation.

Police reported that Mr. Ulrick was traveling south on Eber Road when he attempted to pass a disabled vehicle. He went left of center  and hit a northbound car being driven by 50-year-old Gregory Brenneman.
Robert was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash and Gregory was taken from the scene by helicopter to Toledo Hospital. He is listed in serious condition.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol reported that Tyler Tague, 20, was driving his car west when he attempted to pass another vehicle. Mr. Tague then struck an oncoming car being driven by 19-year-old Christina Garcia. The drivers did attempt to avoid impact and therefore it was not head-on collision.
Ms. Garcia and Paul Bowman, passenger in Tague's vehcile, were flown to Toledo Hospital. Two other passengers in Tague's vehicle, 17-year-old Alex Bunyan and 19-year-old Molly Bunyan, were flown to St. Vincent.
The others involved in the crash were taken to Wood County Hospital for the treatment of their injuries and released.
The accident shut the highway down for more than two hours, and it remains under investigation.

Kevin was indicted last Friday in Lucas County on one count  each of aggravated vehicular assault and vehicular assault.  He will appear in Lucas County Common Pleas Court on May 30 for arraignment.

This tragic accident happened when 53-year-old Elizabeth Palmer driving a GMC SUV in the center lane, swerved to the right, hit a pickup truck driven by 28-year-old Jason Kane, and flipped over.
Palmer and her three passengers sustained minor injuries except for one who is in serious condition.
Kane was hospitalized with minor injuries, while his passenger was uninjured.
The patients were taken to the hospital.
No Charges have yet been filed. This accident is currently still under investigation.

The accident happened when 24-year-old Deanna Welch was driving her car when she hit the back of an SUV driven by 60-year-old Raymond Schneider.
Schneider's SUV swerved across the median, flipped over and stopped on the south side of U.S. 20.
Welch's vehicle started to spin and hit a utility pole.
Two Life Flight medical helicopters were called to the scene, but only Welch was flown to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center.
This accident is currently still under investigation and alcohol or drugs are not suspected to be factors in the crash.

He ending up droving off the right side of the interstate and then hit a metal guardrail.
He was able to get back into the northbound lanes of Interstate when he was hit by a Nissian Altima.
Both drivers were seriously injured and taken to Southside Regional Medical Center.
The State Police are still investigating the cause of the accident. None of the victim’s names have yet been released.

Cameron Hammond, the driver of the Volkswagen Jetta, was pronounced dead at the scene, while passenger Tory Aberts, was taken to Magruder Hospital, which is located in Port Clinton Ohio, for treatment.

According to deputies alcohol and drugs are suspected to be factors in the crash. Hammond was driving at a high rate of speed when about 2 a.m. the vehicle went left of center just east of Christy Chapel Road. The Jetta hit a ditch and continued on until it crossed a drive way and struck a tree.

When a deputy arrived, he found Hammond partially ejected from the car. Aberts was sitting in a nearby driveway.

Ronald Medford from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says that, "It has the potential to address about 80 percent of all the crashed that happen in the counrty today, other than the ones that involve impaired driving."
How it works it that every car is equipped to send and receive radio signals, in essence wifi for vehicles. The computer that is inside the car processes the information to understand other cars' locations and if they have the potential to crash.
An example of this would be that if someone was heading the wrong way towards your car, you would receive a warning that there is a vehicle you are about to crash with and to take action. In some of the more advanced systems, you might see someday that they brake automatically.
The Department of Transportation is working with most major car companies both in the U.S. and around the world.
The new technology is expected to hit the roadway next year.

Heavy fog early in the morning last Wednesday is said to be the cause of a Henry County crash that left one man with serious injuries.  
The accident happened os U.S. 24 when the car driven by 23-year-old Ruddy Jovel traveled left of center and hit a truck driven by 51-year-old David Gordon. After the accident Gordon got out of his truck and was hit by a semi truck.
Mr. Gordon was taken to the University of Toledo Medical Center and is listed in fair condition. Mr. Gordon was taken to the hospital with serious injuries that he sustained.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol has reported that an accident just after 4 p.m. on April 26 sent one man to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

The accident happened on County Road 220 when Blake Weaver, 20, was backing out of a private driveway. He failed to see a pickup truck driven by Bart Anders, 40. The two vehicles collided. 

Mr. Anders was taken from the scene of the accident to a nearby hospital for the treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Both Mr. Weaver and his passenger refused treatment at the scene.

Weaver was cited for failure to yield from a private drive.

On the morning of Wednesday, May 2, 2012, two vehicles were involved in a car crash that occurred between US-6 and SR-109.  A semi-truck then came onto the scene and clipped one of the previously wrecked vehicles. 
The Sherriff’s office of Henry County stated that two people were sent to the hospital and that the semi-truck did not contribute to the already existing injuries.

This bill is slated for revisions and may be up for a vote soon. The revised bill would make writing, reading and sending text messages while driving a minor misdemeanor with possible fines of $150. 
The initial bill was passed in June by the GOP-controlled House, but it has been stalled in the Senate since the fall.
Tom Niehause, Senate President, shared his concerns regarding enforcement of the ban.  Under the changes to the bill that may be approved by the committee, texting while driving would be a secondary offense for drivers 18 and older, meaning the driver would need to have been stopped for another traffic violation, such as speeding.  However, for 16 and 17-year old drivers that are seen using any electronic device would be considered a primary offense with a 60-day license suspension for the first offense and a one-year suspension for repeat violations.
